Overview

Noi̋nḱ Lây Vǖy was founded durring the late 14th century in winter of the year 1296, by Ceridwen Shostret Giant Mining Beetles Giant Wasps. The establishment of Noi̋nḱ Lây Vǖy was somewhat plagued by a lack of willing colonists, leading to Ceridwen Shostret Giant Mining Beetles Giant Wasps electing to pay people to resettle in Noi̋nḱ Lây Vǖy.

Noi̋nḱ Lây Vǖy was built using the conventions of Goblin durring the late 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Noi̋nḱ Lây Vǖy is no diffrent. The village's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Noi̋nḱ Lây Vǖy is buildings are arranged arround a network of narrow paverstone streets which form a diagonal shaped grid, where each square verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller square has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The village posesses a mighty albit amaturly crafted stone wall. It was built using querried stone blocks and posesses all of the standard defencive features, including a few watch towers. While it would last against a siege, the wall's outdated and simplistic construction method percludes the possability of Noi̋nḱ Lây Vǖy weathering a full scale bombardment durring a siege. Unfortuantly, these budget focused millitary grade defenses are in extreem disrepair, so much so that one cannot tell if they are decaying from a lack of mantance or damage incured.

A look around Noi̋nḱ Lây Vǖy seems to be home to a quite vibrant and boisterous community. Everywhere one looks they can see people going out their daily business with a smile and a spring in their step. Children play loudly in the streets, causing untold havoc as youth are want and allowed to do.

Cultural Notes

The locals are in a state of despair and dull apathy. They've lost the things that used to give them pride and hope, with the best among them carrying on out of habitual duty and the worst giving ready hands to shameful deeds and ignoble acts. No one really believes the future can be better, and most seek only to satisfy immediate appetites.

Noi̋nḱ Lây Vǖy's bank was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used makes use of a large oblong hall or building with double colonnades and a semicircular apse and symmetrical central-plan, resulting in buildings with a square central mass and four arms of equal length. Decorative features included domed rooves, arches, soaring spaces, and sumptuous decoration: marble columns and inlay, mosaics on the vaults, inlaid-stone pavements, and sometimes gold coffered ceilings.

In Noi̋nḱ Lây Vǖy sometimes, near one of the seasonal solstices, the sun appears to split into three and it rains from a clear sky for several hours.

The Ahlinni near Noi̋nḱ Lây Vǖy are known to be almost tame, such that they can be put to domestic use.

Noi̋nḱ Lây Vǖy's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in spring and involves embarking on a group pilgrimage to channel Illusion energies of tier 1 via throat singing.
